The FC Westchester U18 team has clinched te U.S. Soccer Development Academy Northeast Division title and will now head to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals Week July 12 to 19 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. Academy Finals Week will feature the top team from each Academy Conference in the U-15/16 and U-17/18 age groups. Teams will participate in a round-robin format, culminating with the finals on the last day. The event will be telecast by the various ESPN network outlets with each team in the finals having at least one game broadcast.

FC Westchester cordially invites you to attend our 20th Annual adidas Columbus Day Tournament to be held on the Columbus Day weekend in Purchase, NY. The competition will be held in Boys and Girls divisions U9 to U12. Last year we hosted more than 100 teams from Westchester County, New York City, Rockland County, Long Island, Connecticut and New Jersey.  While we will continue to keep this tournament a one day competition, we have increased the game time to 2 halves of 20 minutes and we will create brackets in each age class in order to reflect the record of teams.

FC Westchester will conduct its next round of tryouts for its U16 and U18 Boys U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams on Tuesday, July 8 at 6 p.m. at the club’s soccer complex at Purchase College, SUNY on Anderson Hill Road in Purchase, N.Y.  Tryouts will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

U18 tryouts are for those born in 1991 and 1990; U16 tryouts are for those born in 1992.

The FC Westchester ’93 Boys won the U15 Boys title at the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association’s State Cup Championships, topping Hicksville 3-0.

FC Westchester this weekend split its U16 and U18 games with PDAA and then tied one and lost one against Match Fit in U.S. Soccer Development Academy action.

F.C. Westchester is among a select number of clubs that have been chosen by the US Soccer Federation to be a U.S. Soccer’s Development Academy program, a revolutionary initiative that will start this fall. The program is designed to extend the Federation’s National Team program, putting an emphasis on the development of the player by improving their daily environment.  FC Westchester’s U16 and U18 Boys teams will be participating in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy’s Northeast Conference.

The FC Westchester ’91 Boys have won the U17 Championship of the prestigious Disney Showcase, held Christmas week in Orlando.

Tampa, FL -- United Soccer Leagues has announced the final selections for the Super Y-League’s ODP National Camps to be held at the Cocoa Expo Center in Cocoa, Florida in January and February of 2008 and said that 15 members of FC Westchester teams were selected. 

Selections from the 2007 season were made from the identification system by the Super Y-League National ODP Scouting Staff. The selection process was then finalized by the ODP Staff Coaches, and assembled by the USL office. U.S. National Team scouts will be attending the camps.

Named from FC Westchester were:

• Cesar Ceja, Brian Kenny, Jonathan Martinez, Andres Radich and Roberto Silva  from the FC Westchester ’94s
• Michael Abraham, Gerardo Ceja, Ryan McNamara,  Marques Mayoras, Andres Penfold, Rory Shepard and Osvaldo Torres from the FC Westchester ’93s.
• Bucky Illingworth and Brian Span from the FC Westchester ’92 Boys.
• Brian Cabrera and  Thomas McNamara from the ’91 Boys.
• Stepjan Bandov, John Gallagher, George Pourakis, Chris Holihan and Josh Renner  from the ’90 Boys.

FC Westchester is a premier level soccer club based in Westchester County, NY that provides a unique opportunity for serious, skilled and dedicated soccer players. Designated a U.S. Soccer Development Academy by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the Club was formed in 1984 as a non-profit organization by Coach Al Pastore, who went on to be a national Youth Coach of the Year and is now in the Eastern NY Soccer Hall of Fame.

The primary mission of FC Westchester is to provide its players with the opportunity to compete at the highest level of competition throughout the United States. We have U11-U20 boys’ teams and a U14 girls’ team.

On the boys’ side, our U13-U17 teams play in the Super Y League, considered the "Premiership" of youth soccer leagues, as well as in other premier leagues. Our youngest teams play in the Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL). Our oldest boys play in the United Soccer Leagues’ USL Super-20 League. On the girls’ side, our girls play in the WYSL.
